The conference went ahead on 7th Sept 2006 at Leeds Civic Hall and was attended by approximately 88 people from various backgrounds.
Representatives were present from: Leeds Association of Blind Asians service users, health, social care, education, library services, equality unit, Leeds North East Housing, Disability Information and Advice Line (DIAL), Action for Blind People (AFBP), Henshaws, Birmingham Focus on Blindness, Optima, VISTA, Bradford Talking Magazines. The conference speakers and workshops were very well received and sparked some interesting and valuable debate around the initial conference aims.
